Artwork x Tracklist: XV – Vizzy Zone
The 2011 Freshman class member (yes, I’m calling it early so sue me) plans to unleash his Vizzy Zone mixtape on September 9th as a prelude to his album, The Kid With The Green Backpack.
Artwork x Tracklist: Ne-Yo – Libra Scale
With no features in line for his October 19th release, looks like Ne-Yo is completely going for himself on Libra Scale. Now, the cover probably won’t make much sense (nor does Ne-Yo’s sense in speaking on T.I. and his “situation“) but hey, that’s him. Give it a couple of weeks, I’m sure he’ll change his mind and ask Tip for a feature charge.

Artwork x Tracklist: The Foreign Exchange – Authenticity
Since 2005, I’ve been a fan of The Foreign Exchange and after their Grammy nominated album Leave It All Behind was one of my favorite albums during a turbulent 2008 for me. Glad to see Phonte, Nicolay and the gang get back in the studio to create more goodness for the masses with Authenticity due October 12th. While their first album was jazzy and almost felt like an extension to a Little Brother album, Te took out his bowtie and gator loafers and sung up a tune. The lead single “Maybe She’ll Dream Of Me” evokes memories of Connected with a (get this) rapping Tigallo. Says Tay:
“I think every band reaches that point when they come into their own and find a sound that is distinctively theirs,” says Phonte in reference to the album’s title. “The title refers to me and Nic’s journey to find our own unique space within this vast musical landscape. The biggest challenge as a musician is to find that ‘thing’ that makes you who you are. But I think we’re getting there, and we’re finding our way more and more with each record.”
Tracklist down bottom.
Rah Digga – Classic (Artwork & Tracklist) x This Ain’t No Lil’ Kid Rap
Rah Digga is linking up with producer Nottz for her sophomore album Classic slated for a September 21st release. Most folks might not care about Ms. Digga but I damn sure do. Dirty Harriet was pretty good, especially everything that was handled by Nottz. Tracklist and album artwork on the bottom. Up top is her video for This Ain’t No Lil’ Kid Rap. Schoolteacher Rashia = nice. Word to A.C. Slater.

Taking a look at that tracklist, all the conspiracy theorists are going to take aim at track numero dos given it’s title. With only 11 tracks and ten of them having guests, Ricky’s pulling no punches when it comes to his 4th LP. Kind of nice to see B.M.F. and MC Hammer from The Albert Anastasia EP (also known as Rick Ross Is Black Zorro) get added to the tracklist. July 20th, the don arrives.

Jay-Z – The Blueprint 3 (Production Credits)
I don’t think I’ve ever spoken on an album that hasn’t come out yet so much as this one. Yes, Hov is still slated to drop on September 11th and he isn’t getting pushed back like a certain legend’s funeral but when the production credits get released – hopefully Kapn’ Kirk will be staisfied.

Blueprint 3 Artwork x Tracklisting
Right before I head to work (for what seems like it’s been ages since I’ve been there, lol) I grant you this neat little tidbit off of Jay’s upcoming LP. Hov + ‘Ye + G.O.O.D Family + Nas = BP3. Will the Nas collabo out-do the first two? Will Drake outshine Hov on his album? And how the hell did Kanye end up producing the MAJORITY of the album? Something to question.
