After “You Gets No Love” dropped, I was happy Faith Evans had decided to get back to singing instead of just being known as the widow of Biggie. And then I heard “I Love You” on the radio and it wasn’t until the video that I was completely sold on Faith Evans – being fine as hell as well as supremely talented.
But mostly fine as hell too.

Look, if there is any version of a singer that I wish would stay in that single mode – it would be R. Kelly all the way up until TP-2.com dropped because then – I would have known nothing about video tapes, golden showers, “How old are we talkin’”, pepper spray, autotune, Sex in the Kitchen, Trapped in the Closet, etc. The last thing I would have heard would be “Feelin’ On Yo Booty” and its subsequent remix.
But, I’ll still remember the Aaliyah marriage and realize that young girls – not women – were his muse. Dammit Kells!
