A Spoiler-Free, Yet 100 Percent Honest Review Of ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ Rascal Kennedy April 28, 2018 TV/Movies Imagine 10 years of your life… We’ve been going to these movies, watching… Wondering… Hoping… Fearing… We’ve known for some time that the Avengers would have to fight the Mad Titan Thanos… This weekend we go to war. Infinity War is everything you’ve ever wanted in an MCU film. There’s so many emotions, revelations, and things that just make you go “Oh shit!” You have to understand if you’re new the MCU, there are so many emotions engrained into this franchise… You have to just meditate on it all afterwards. We’ve known Thanos was on his way for 6 years. We’ve seen him pop up a few times here and there… THIS WAS HIS MOMENT. Josh Brolin definitely gives one of the best performances of a villain I have ever seen. We’ve seen villains we can empathize with. We’ve seen Heath’s Joker, Micheal B. Jordan’s Killmonger, Micheal Shannon’s General Zod, but now we have witnessed Thanos. You could truly empathize with him, understand him, and just say, “He has a point.” The scenes with Thanos are powerful, incredible and wonderful. Every villain has a plan, but how many of those plans have a purpose to better the universe? This is what makes Thanos one of the greatest cinematic villains of all time. The Avengers and Guardians all were amazing as well. Each one of them got the proper screentime and has their moments. Everybody’s story comes full circle in this film. Thor, Rocket, Dr. Strange, Captain America, and Iron Man take the cake for me personally. Especially Thor, he was my favorite thing about the movie. The Black Order was amazing, Ebony Maw gave the best performance out of those four. His tone, his demeanor, and his all out want to help Thanos destroy the universe. These characters represented so many things. The symbolism within the film was amazing, and there’s so much to sit down and meditate on. You just truly leave the theater wanting more and more from the Russo Brothers. There are so many emotions. Of course there are plenty of humorous scenes, but this movie has a very dark and serious tone. The Russo Brothers did something truly amazing. They created a crossover that many people weren’t ready for. The film was very beautiful and heartwarming in some aspects. It was also very sad and depressing. You have to prepare yourself mentally for so many things that happen. Gamora and Thanos truly steal the movie. There was so much attention to detail with their story, that in the end it helps mold the film. The problems I had with the film were far and few. They are mostly spoilers anyway, so I won’t touch on them for now. I may do a spoiler review after this and touch on them. I hope you enjoyed the film as much as I did, and I hope we can all come together again to see ‘Avengers 4’ next year! Rating: 9.5/10 What did you guys think? Did you enjoy the film?
