Nique’s infectious “The Summer” single gets a set of visuals to match.

Back in February, Nique insisted that “The Summer” was his for the taking. The Houston-based artist and One Famm Music Group affiliate issued a promise that the proper follow-up to his ‘WTF is Goin’ On’ project would be dropping in the months to come. “The Summer,” as a single, was a catchy track intended to prepare fans and listeners that winter was coming… in the form of stunting hard.

Nique has now given “The Summer” a set of visuals to match. And much like the artist himself, they get the point across without the need for much extra. BARF handles directing duties for “The Summer’s” music video, employing his trademark distortion at points in the video to infuse Nique’s jacket with color, for example, or project the emcee against an orange and blue backdrops. That allows the rapper to stand out, both alone with his whip and while walking the block with his crew. So when Nique says “Do not put your hands on my plate,” it’s not about manners, it’s a certified threat. He’s in a confident place and his creative levels are higher than ever – and Nique’s not about to let anyone take that from him.
