Ice cream and sticky green. That’s the theme in Willy J Peso’s “Flavors,” video, featuring Styles P.

Willy J Peso is a familiar face in Detroit but not JUST in Detroit. He can’t be categorized simply as “stoner rap,” because he’s not just a rapper who smokes. Peso’s a known face in the rapidly-expanding cannabis community who used his appreciation for green and his business savvy to establish his own brand, “Stoned Like Willy.” He’s currently on tour with Houston’s own Devin The Dude. Oh, and he might be the first rapper ever to have his own game on the XBOX One platform.

With Willy’s ‘Hybrid’ album set to release later this week, the rapper has given his RJ Lamont-produced single “Flavors” (which features hip-hop legend Styles P) a set of visuals to match.

Ice cream tends to be the first thing that comes to mind when one thinks of flavors (thanks, Baskin Robbins). It’s fitting, then, that Willy opted to use an ice cream shop in Detroit’s Mexicantown for the “Flavors” video. Kogoloud is behind the lens for the “Flavors” visuals, having Willy use the ice cream spot as his base of operations, where he both pitches his product and links up with beautiful bud-lovers.

Styles P holds court in the background until his feature verse, spitting his bars while hanging out at the back of the building with Willy and his friends. There’s a reason the two rappers advocate for “flavors”: they’re men of taste. As Styles P so eloquently puts it in his verse, “If you sellin’ dirt? Get the f*ck away!”
