This is D3 The Concrete, bringing you fashion from the street. When you work in the streetwear industry and/or you write articles about streetwear (which is what I do), SOMETIMES, you get a box like this in the mail. SOMETIMES, it also contains good stuff… like this one.

This is the top of the shoebox that I was sent. All of the artwork is drawn by Californian artist, Sam Rodriguez. Inspired by the indigenous nation known as the Aztecs, the artwork also has detailed hints of contemporary modern art influences.

Upon opening the shoebox, I noticed this certificate of authenticity, explaining the nature of the collaboration between Puma, 1800 Tequila and Sam Rodriguez. This shoe released on May 5th, 2017. The coolest thing about this shoe is also on the card: this pair is one of 1,000 pairs in the entire WORLD! So, without any further delay, check out the shoes:

The first thing that struck me about this shoe is the color! Blue “PUMA check” with a powdered blue upper and a white outsole, this shoe is definitely going to be in my rotation heavy!

The insole of the shoe is masterfully graced with the logos of both PUMA & Rodriguez. Clean lines all around!

Finally, I HAD to show you these fresh lace locks with the 1800 Tequila brand name embossed on them. Colored silver to reference the 1800 Tequila bottle, the lace locks are a clean additional detail to an overall aesthetically pleasing shoe.

Unfortunately for you, this shoe is unavailable to the general public, but I HAVE seen on StockX, someone asking for $5000 to sell these! I will NEVER sell mine because these were a good gift from a great guy!
