The second Deadpool 2 teaser trailer arrives in style on the week before Thanksgiving.

Back in March, comics and movies fans who saw ‘Logan’ in theaters got the first look at a not-quite-trailer of sorts for the sequel to 2016’s Ryan Reynolds comeback film, ‘Deadpool.’ At this point, Ryan Reynolds is as much Wade Wilson as Robert Downey Jr. is Tony Stark – each is unquestionably the other and you can’t possibly see anyone else playing those respective roles (at least not in this generation). But since then, Fox has kept quiet on Deadpool, even as the media giant is doubling down on expanding the X-Men universe with “The Gifted” and ‘The New Mutants.’

That changed Wednesday, when the Deadpool Movie Twitter account posted a random video of Deadpool before a paint easel. It turns out, the clip wasn’t simply a homage to belated ‘The Joy of Painting’ artiste Bob Ross.

It’s funny to see Deadpool in Ross’s token outfit, right down to the jeans and the brown afro. ‘Pool Ross’ paint colors all have hilarious, movie-referencing names like “Mennen Black” and “Pretty N’Pink.” Deadpool even has Ross’s soothing voice commentary down pat, mixed in with his own comical commentary.

But then “technical difficulties” interrupt the show, and that leads to a montage of teaser footage from the upcoming flick. There’s explosions and gunfire; Deadpool crashing a funeral; Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Domino (the lovely Zazie Beetz) cameos; and the cabbie from the first movie, Dopinder, spotted with Deadpool and Weasel like he’s been welcomed into the fold. Once they’re “back on the air,” viewers are treated to a “family portrait” of sorts – one that depicts Deadpool alongside Josh Brolin’s Cable at the head of the dinner table.

‘Deadpool 2’ is currently set to land in theaters on June 1, 2018. In the meantime, you can watch the trailer below and take in all of the laughs.
