Paul Wall, Lil Keke, Z-Ro and the City of Houston celebrate a champion with “World Series Grillz.”

Paul Wall called it. When he stated “World Series Grillz” in excitement after Game 7 of the American League Championship Series against the New York Yankees, it became an unofficial rallying cry for the city. Now two weeks after that fateful night, the Houston Astros are world champions. Even better? The People’s Champ lifted the embargo on playoff songs.

“World Series Grillz” arrived with Paul’s now famous chant outside of Minute Maid Park two weeks ago and lyrics boasting and bragging about the Astros. Lil Keke believes that the team will be here for a minute, long as everyone gets paid. Z-Ro feels like throwing money around like a parade. “All you gotta be is not a hater, you can kick it with us,” he raps.

In case you were wondering who got the bulk of the bars on “World Series Grillz,” that attention went to Jose Altuve with three bars apiece. George Springer got the second most mentions followed by Carlos Correa, Dallas Keuchel, Charlie Morton and Alex Bregman. Justin Verlander, Lance McCullers, and Brian McCann also got a line, all from the Po Up Poet. Play “World Series Grillz” all day if you must. The city is a champion, and it never tasted or felt so good.
