melrose better off as friends

Melrose has his room of balloons moment with “Better Off As Friends.”

Doing everything by yourself holds a bit of resonance with music fans, particularly, the snobs who hold great artists that aren’t willing to compromise their sound for no one and nobody. Newcomer Melrose is an explicit representation of this line of thinking. The Houston creative managed to craft “Better Off As Friends” as a moody, guitar-heavy break-up record all by his lonesome. Even shooting the video, a small nod to art house flicks, and the “party’s done” type motif, he took on by himself. “She needs my love again,” he sings with a drowsy rasp before resigning himself to facts. “We’re better off as friends. I’ll never love again.”
