Dallas meets South Central and Compton as Cardo, Jay Worthy and G Perico become G-Worthy.

Regional rap still has a place in the world. For G Perico and Jay Worthy, representing South Central and Compton means all of their influences from DJ Quik on down have a minor say in their music. Perico has already sewn up one of the year’s more promising projects with All Blue back in April. Jay Worthy has kept his name as one of the emerging acts from Compton and Cardo, he by way of Dallas but now in Los Angeles? Only one of the more West Coast centric producers of the last half decade.

Together, all three are responsible for G-Worthy, a 7-track EP with guests ranging from Bay Area artist Diamond Ortiz and LA’s Polyester. Signed to A-Trak’s Fool’s Gold Records, you can hear the trio’s debut project for yourself below.
