Trae Tha Truth loads up again for Tha Truth Pt. 3 out next Friday.

Before the July 21st release date of Tha Truth Pt. 3 and subsequent Trae Day, Trae Tha Truth is unlocking his vault of stashed away records that made their way onto the album. Case in point, “Thuggin,” a collaboration between Trae and Young Thug that got an assist from Skrippa Da Flippa.

“Thug and I have a whole bunch of records from the past that haven’t been released and when we’re cooling, it gives us vibes,” Trae told Complex about the collaboration. “I’m in the zone where I feel like I want people to enjoy the music and recognize that it’s a few of us out here with pure talent. Like I said on the song, ‘We’re trained to take from them because they wouldn’t feed us.’ No one willingly helped us find a way to eat so we had to take. Take or be taken.”

The news comes with even more information about the 10th anniversary of Trae Day, Trae Tha Truth’s massive block party that doubles as outreach for the less fortunate. He’s already set to be riding a camel once again as well as making sure enough kids are sent back to school with backpacks and other school supplies. There will be immunization and HIV testing on site, free haircuts and just for the kids on July 21st, he’s taking them to the Children’s Museum.

“It’s a blessing for me to be able to do this,” he says. “I never planned on having a holiday but to be the big homie and able to give back is super dope. When I came up I used to have that feeling like when you don’t really have anybody, it felt like me against the world sometimes. I hated that feeling to the point where I just said, ‘If I ever had the opportunity, I would help someone not feel this way.'”

Trae Day 2017 is set to take place from July 21 to 24, the first time it will ever be a Trae Day Weekend. Hear “Thuggin” from Tha Truth Pt. 3 below.
