Trap Sushi features Rai P, OG Maco, Project Pat and more.

Mike Red had a homecoming show for the ages on the eve of July 4th. Monday night he owned the studio room inside Warehouse Live for his Trap Sushi release show, complete with a distinct look and umbrella. Unlike the now normal Friday release schedule, Red stuck to the traditional Tuesday release with Trap Sushi, letting it arrive on the Fourth of July.

The 18-track project features Mike’s 2KUSH16 co-star Rai P, OG Maco, Project Pat, Royal-T and more. Red’s usual production, drum heavy adds little sprites and charms (“Tell Me Nothing”) high energy piano stabs (“Money To Get”) and an endless wave of snare drums. “.40” with Reginald Ghonson makes allusions to Shawn Kemp and enough rasped out autotune to make it feel like a hyperactive bop through any venue.
