future kendrick lamar mask off remix

From Coachella to the studio, the “Mask Off Remix” with Future & Kendrick Lamar is here.

Future and Kendrick Lamar have a brief history. Outside of Future’s appearing during K Dot’s Coachella set last month, they’re recording strangers if you will. The two haven’t collaborated on anything significant outside of Mike Will Made-It’s “Buy The World” until now with the “Mask Off Remix”. Teased by Future himself, the record was premiered early Tuesday morning via DJ Envy and The Breakfast Club.

Like most modern remixes, Metro Boomin’s flip of that infamous flute sample doesn’t change. Nor does Future’s original verse. Instead, Kendrick starts off rapping trying to find his place. Once he gets there, joking about his braids making a comeback and conscious rappers going to commercial to still remain conscious does he hit a groove. “N*ggas lookin’ at me like I’m a create-a-player,” Lamar raps and he’s pretty damn accurate in the statement. Somebody put him in a rap lab, turned all his attributes up to 99 and told him to go dominate the world.

The Good Culture Podcast already has made it known that Dot is among their favorite rappers, period. As far as all-time? That’s to be determined. The more Lamar alludes to Prince, Dave Free and being the anomaly of all rap anomalies, how can you deny it? Stream the “Mask Off Remix” for yourself below.
