Calvin Harris continues his quest to own the entire summer with his latest single, “Rollin'” feat. Khalid & Future.

In case you haven’t noticed yet, Calvin Harris is on a mission to own summer 2017 outright.

We suspected this first when Harris shared “Slide” back in February, a smooth joint with Migos and Frank Ocean. Harris then piggybacked “Slide” by bringing Young Thug, Pharrell, and Ariana Grande together for “Heatstroke.”

Where do you go for your next collaboration after this? Apparently, you bring together the man with the biggest single of the year thus far, and the young man who has a sleeper candidate for R&B album of the year. That’s exactly what comes to pass on Harris’s newest single, “Rollin’,” featuring Future and Khalid.

“Rollin'” just sounds like crashing ocean waves, the shining sun, and the breeze floating over through your hair. Khalid handles hook and outro duty as the duo hit the road, with Future dropping his verses with a slight island-tinge added to his voice and issuing warnings (“n*ggas ain’t rappers, they imposters”) while stunting at the same damn time. It’s four-and-a-half minutes of soulful summer funk, made to drive along to.
