The Color Green: Cash Color Cannabis gets a star-studded turnout during the LegendsXHouse SXSW showcase.

Houston and Detroit Hip Hop greats recently came together for the trailer debut of The Color Green: Cash Color Cannabis. Houston legend Lil Keke was also in the building, celebrating the 20-year anniversary of classic, Don’t Mess Wit Texas.
During last month’s SXSW experience, the LegendsXHouse took over Scratchouse Austin for a concert and celebration of the musical contributions of Hip Hop legends Pimp C and Proof. Also in attendance was Proof’s son, recording artist Nasaan, who used his debut performance to honor his late father’s memory. Proof’s wife Sharonda also made an appearance, hosting an Upstage Style Proof themed pop-up shop.
Chinara Butler – host of’s pop-up shop – introduced writer and film producer Mehka King, the talent behind the highly anticipated documentary The Color Green: Cash Color Cannabis.
Presented by UGQ, Upstage Style and Shady Records, the LegendsXHouse showcase included live performances from artists including Obie Trice, Lil Keke, SosaMann, Sauce Twins rapper Sauce Walka, Killa Kyle, ScottyATL, Kidd Kidd, Big Sant, DJ Salam Wreck, RizzooRizzoo, Cool America and new Hustle Gang signee RaRa.
Using their platform to shine a light on upcoming acts, event organizers included newcomers King Jazzy, ScoMoney, Lavish Jay and Noah Watson – who crashed the stage in front of a packed house. The event also featured a pop-up shop courtesy of 7Thirteen and hosted by Lil Keke. Other notable attendees included Slim Thug, Paul Wall, Lil Flip, TV Johnny, Doughbeezy and more.
