The now major-backed Wizkid drops off a music video for his smooth new single, “Sweet Love.”

2016 wasn’t a bad year for Wizkid. The Nigerian singer-songwriter paired up with Drake for arguably one of last year’s better singles, “One Dance,” and also got some solo shine as well for his. But the Starboy Entertainment man is starting off 2017 on even more solid footing: on Wednesday, he unveiled that he’d been signed to RCA Records/Sony Music. And shortly thereafter, he unveiled his first single of the year, “Sweet Love.” Now, Wizkid’s new single has a set of visuals to go along with it.

Premiered by The FADER, the “Sweet Love” music video intersperses concert footage of Wizkid performing around the world, with shots of he and his crew on the road in various locales. “Sweet Love” itself is a smooth island groove, but it appears things get crazy whenever Wizkid is in the building. “[‘Sweet Love’s’ video] is content of my live shows throughout Africa,” Wizkid told The FADER, “which will give my fans a real insight and feel of me performing back home.” One thing’s for sure: whether he takes the stage in Mali or in South Africa, in Senegal or Rwanda, a crowd is always sure to follow Wizkid’s solid Afrobeat sound.
