John Mayer drops off four more new songs from his upcoming The Search for Everything LP.

Back in January, John Mayer attempted to create a “new rule” musically – to promote his latest LP, The Search for Everything, Mayer is sharing the project in pieces (“waves,” actually) rather than all at once. Last month brought “Wave One,” a set of four songs from Search; and on Friday, Mayer shared “Wave Two” from Search, which itself features four new songs from the album in the making.

“Wave Two” comes out the gate swinging with “Still Feel Like Your Man,” a half-earnest, half-sh*t talking cut where Mayer confesses that even though he and his woman are broken up, “I still keep your shampoo in my shower, in case you wanna wash your hair.” That’s followed up by the smooth acoustic guitar-driven number “Emoji of A Wave,” before Mayer rocks out a bit on “Helpless.” “Wave Two” concludes with “Roll It On Home,” a soft track where John goes full country for three and a half minutes.

If nothing else, Wave Two of The Search for Everything just reaffirms that John Mayer and his guitar can damn near do no wrong. Any of the four tracks are perfect for stepping into spring and sunnier temperatures just right. Stream the four tracks down below, by way of Apple Music, and grab “Wave Two” as an EP on iTunes now.
