Titled 4 Your Eyez Only, the project marks Cole’s first since 2014 Forest Hills Drive.

J. Cole may or may not have told fans he was releasing a new album next Friday but iTunes did. A pre-order link appeared for a 10-track project titled 4 Your Eyez Only. If true, it would be the first Cole related release since 2014 Forest Hills Drive.

4 Your Eyez Only is stated as an official Dreamville release though there’s been no word from their camp or Cole’s management. Two months ago, Cole told fans at New York City’s Meadows Music and Arts Festival that the performance would be his last for a while. Fans began speculating if it meant Cole simply was going to rest after a year and a half of touring or a new LP was on the way.

Since 2014, Cole’s third studio effort not only managed to hit the summit of the Billboard charts, it became one of the best memes of 2016. Sans any features, the LP managed to go double platinum – and Cole fans won’t let you forget it. It’s unclear whether or not 4 Your Eyez Only will have features, but it shouldn’t matter. A new Cole album is a new Cole album.

We’ll update with details as they come.
