A new day, a brand new Z-Ro album is here. Grab ‘Legendary’ now.

There is no such thing as Z-Ro slowing down. This past summer, he released the stellar Drankin’ & Drivin’ which carried not just classic Z-Ro material, it offered pointed critiques of the world at large. That in itself is a staple of Z-Ro’s career. On his 19th album Legendary, Rotha Vandross continues the momentum from the summer and doesn’t plan to slow down.

The 15-track LP from Ro only packs one feature in Just Brittany (“It’s OK”). The rest? A clever mix of sung hooks, raps about isolation, counting money and more. Ro has never shied away from any topic or anybody, evident from “Skrewed Up” and more. The best of Ro has always been something to take your mind off of the world at large. To the point where the Houston rapper will end up placing you in his, one of the more prolific worlds out there.

It’s not all bad to be the Mo City Don. Next January, a day before Donald Trump formally is named the 45th President of the United States, Ro will celebrate Jospeh Wayne McVey Day. Built around community efforts, the date coincides with Z-Ro’s birthday. “In 20 years of making music, this is one of the biggest and most important achievements of my career. I’ve always proudly represented Houston and given back when I can,” he said in a press release. “To have the city recognize that is so humbling. I’m very honored to celebrate Josephy Wayne McVey Day with y’all!”
