Z-Ro Shares “Skrewed Up” From Upcoming ‘Legendary’ Album [@zromocitydon] Brandon Caldwell November 6, 2016 MP3s, Music 1 Comment Z-Ro’s second album of 2016 drops November 11. “Skrewed Up”, the first single from Z-Ro’s upcoming Legendary echoes sentiments he’s displayed throughout the year. In July, the venerable Houston rapper released “No Justice No Peace” days after the police shootings of Alton Sterling & Philando Castile. “Skrewed Up” features audio from Castile’s girlfriend recording his final moments following the July shooting. On “Skrewed Up”, Z-Ro keeps up the fight. “Black lives don’t matter, the law already showed you that,” he sings on the song’s chorus, bracketed between verses about knowing police officers and black bodies being rendered meaningless. Similar to “Thangz Are Crazy”, Ro calls for plenty but he knows exactly where his voice need be used best. He’s sat down with city officials in regards to police reform. He knows that even some members of his base will never trust the police and may retaliate if things escalate beyond peaceful resolutions. But Z-Ro also knows that he can’t remain silent. He refuses to. Listen to “Skrewed Up” from Z-Ro below. Legendary follows the acclaimed Drankin’ & Drivin’ album from Z-Ro which was released earlier this summer. The album’s cover features Ro’s sihlouette over images of nearly 30 albums and mixtapes of his released throughout his extensive career. Pre-order the LP now via iTunes.
