It’s a “Thriller” kind of “Friday Night” in MC Beezy’s new music video.

Sometimes you drop the kind of gem that’s worth revisiting and breathing new life into.

MC Beezy’s Nights in The H EP touched down back in the summer, but one of the album’s standout cuts was “Friday Night,” a three-minute number that was as infectious as it was mood-setting. Though the song itself was ultimately about laying up, getting a buzz, and chilling, Beezy had something more theatrical in mind for “Friday Night’s” visuals.

It makes perfect sense that the self-anointed Voice of Houston would drop “Friday Night’s” music video on Halloween, given its homage to Michael Jackson’s iconic “Thriller” (in fairness, the rapper does call himself Mike Jack in the track’s name-dropping second verse). With Isaac “Chill” Yowman of iYo Visuals behind the lens, Beezy dons a black and red leather jacket to rival The Moonwalker’s and strolls along a foggy trail alongside a lovely lady, as demonic figures lurk and stalk them from the shadows. There’s no Vincent Price voiceover, but credit MC Beezy for doubling down on the choreography for his video. But somebody has to ask – where and how in Houston did Beezy Luciano find the damn near perfect Ola Ray doppelganger?
