The Best Of Mala Luna Fest, Day One [@saybreaaa @malalunafest @wescoremore]

San Antonio’s Mala Luna Fest brought big names (and water) to the Alamo City.

When Mala Luna Festival, Scoremore Shows latest bit of expansion into the festival game was announced earlier this month, music fans in San Antonio rejoiced. As burgeoning a music market as the home of the Spurs is, it ends up on the short end of major music festivals. Scoremore saw a problem. The city of San Antonio saw a problem.

Things were rectified and fixed.

Partnering with Giant Noise, Scoremore backed the Mala Luna Festival the same way they’ve backed the one-day JMBLA Festival. Giant Noise, the kings behind Austin’s FunFunFun Fest and Sound on Sound Festival have already expanded beyond Texas with New Orleans’ Buku Music + Art Project

Even though Mala Luna Fest lost Kevin Gates due to a legal situation, it gained Jeezy fresh off the release of Trap Or Die 3. But Jeezy was Sunday night. Saturday belonged to the youthful side of hip-hop with headliner Travis Scott, Tory Lanez, Rae Sremmurd, Jacquees & Lil Yachty. Plenty of water was sprayed on the crowd and Yachty himself used the Mala Luna stage to rip on newfound enemy Soulja Boy.
