Mere minutes ahead of midnight EST, D.R.A.M.’s much-awaited debut LP, Big Baby D.R.A.M., has touched down on all major streaming services. The Social Experiment-affiliated rapper/singer laid the groundwork for Big Baby D.R.A.M. with almost expert precision, releasing collabs with both old standards in the game (Erykah Badu on the smooth “WiFi,” which D.R.A.M. shared with the public earlier today) and emerging voices (Lil’ Yachty on the infectious lead single “Broccoli”).

A follow-up to his underappreciated GAHDAMN! EP last fall, Big Baby D.R.A.M. clocks in at fourteen tracks deep and only has three features: the aforementioned Badu and Lil’ Yachty, and Young Thug on “Misunderstood.” That, in effect, allows the Virginia-rooted artist to shine as much as he can by his lonesome without much interference. And of course, previous leaks “Cute” and “Cash Machine” make appearances. But the singles, shockingly, may not even be the best part of BBD. “Misunderstood” is trap praise and worship if ever such a thing were possible. The spiteful D.R.A.M. that lived on the extended version of “Caretaker” comes back with a vengeance on “Change My Number.” And the bouncy outro track “Workaholic” is exactly what 9-5’ers need as they’re walking out of the office on a Friday.
