Big K.R.I.T. speaks on leaving Def Jam with a brand new cut, “Free Agent”.

Big K.R.I.T. told us earlier this summer that he was no longer part of Def Jam Records. According to the cover art for his latest track “Free Agent”, he’s been gone since May. “Three presidents in five years, I never stopped / while they worried bout them single sales, them albums flopped,” K.R.I.T. lashes out on his former label home. The self-produced track finds K.R.I.T. discussing how he was far more successful without the major label help. “I been a free agent,” he raps on the cut. “It’s money on the way cause the contract over.”
