Bill Nunn’s film debut came in 1988 as part of fellow Morehouse brother Spike Lee’s School Daze. A year later, Nunn starred in his most memorable role as Radio Raheem, the emotional center of Lee’s Do The Right Thing. Two years later, Nunn starred opposite Wesley Snipes & Ice-T in New Jack City as Nino Brown capo The Duh Duh Man. For a man of many roles and of many faces, the Pittsburgh native always had a commanding presence on screen. Nunn died on Saturday in his native Pittsburgh. He was 62. The cause of death has yet to be determined. Lee himself broke the news. The director paid homage to the actor via Instagram and other forms of social media.
