Violent night mars otherwise peaceful Houston Appreciation Weekend.

A normal Sunday night at VLive involves celebration. Celebrating wealth, or possibly ignoring lust for the chance to leave with a dancer. That was supposed to be the case Sunday night as Drake and others celebrated a second sold out performance at Toyota Center. Instead, an incident unrelated to the rapper or many of the club’s patrons has left another stain on the club.

Around 4 a.m., two men were shot outside the club, one in the face. Both are expected to survive. Investigators say there were multiple shooters and multiple victims. No arrests have been made and the investigation is still ongoing.

“Right now, we don’t have any real good witnesses. We don’t know who was shooting or why. We’re attempting to get some witnesses to talk to us and once we do that we’ll try to figure out what happened,” Houston Police Department Lt. Larry Crowson told ABC 13.

It’s the second violent incident to occur outside the club in as many months. In June, four men were arrested after an assault on Moses Malone Jr., son of the late NBA Hall of Famer Moses Malone.

VLive’s celebrated plenty of highs over the few years. Since establishing a footprint within the Houston strip club scene, the club has expanded into areas such as Dallas, New Orleans and Atlanta. It is routinely discussed by Drake and even served as a primary setting for his “Child’s Play” video.

UPDATE (12:33 p.m.): One man has died from his injuries as a result of the shooting.
