Yves’ latest batch of freestyles proves the 265 leader can’t ever stop.

“It’s a bodily function. It’s not a game. It’s not an act,” Yves says on “Modesty,” the second track from his Freestyles Vol. 1 tape. His voice laying on top of the warbling guitar strings of Jay Z & Foxy Brown’s “Ain’t No N*gga” is New York in distinction. The tongue twisting raps and influence of every word and syllable that comes after? Global.

Two years ago, The Niceguys frontman released his debut project, Sincerely, Yves. His brain couldn’t help but twist hundreds if not thousands of rhymes and pack them into various lines across various tracks. He cant’ help it. Even in conversation, he stops and collects himself just to pick the perfect line. It hasn’t translated to major rap fame in his adopted city but he’s learning to not let it completely bother him. He’s traveled and performed all over the country in the name of spouting off raps.

Taking to his Soundcloud page over the past few weeks, he’s once more detailed his passion for pure rapping. Jack Freeman joins him for a jaunt over OutKast’s “SpottieOttieDopaliscious” where they expound upon the female figure. The other instrumentals left in Yves’ wake? D’Angelo’s “Devil’s Pie”, Dr. Dre’s “The Watcher”, “Still D.R.E.” and more.

Yves’ confidence knows no borders, no walls or even stopping points. “I get the feeling my humility is being mistaken as lack of utility,” he announces on “24/7/265”. “To render n*ggas efforts as exercises in futility.” You can’t out rap him, that’s his whole point of doing this.
