On “Free Lunch” Day in LA, Isaiah Rashad teases more new music with “I Mean”.

Isaiah Rashad is keeping pressure on people. Last week, the TDE rapper revealed a new track & video for “Free Lunch”. A new track and video weren’t the biggest piece of Isaiah Rashad news through. According to TDE, his debut album arrives on September 2nd. One of the new Zay records came today, ironically on his ‘Free Lunch’ tour in LA. It’s called “I Mean” and is produced by Black Metaphor.

“I make you nervous how I pitch it right,” Rashad spits on the rising cut. From international travel (“had a double with a downer out in Dublin”) to down home love (“Chat-Town, where the funnel cake?”), Rashad isn’t in the sullen pool found on “Free Lunch”. He’s rapping until he’s gasping and even letting his vocals shine near the end. “All by myself, I felt ashamed / Please bring me down / I need the white walls / When it ain’t that hard to be myself…”

While “I Mean” won’t appear on Zay’s new album, it’s another one verse take from one of the 423’s brightest stars. Push play on “I Mean” from Zay & Black Metaphor below.
