Chicago’s Mick Jenkins drops the first single from his debut album, “Spread Love”.

After two lauded mixtapes in The Waters & wave[s], Chicago’s Mick Jenkins is officially dropping his debut album. The project is titled The Healing Component and it will be released September 23rd via Mick’s Free Nation label.

To celebrate the news of his upcoming debut disc, Jenkins has released the album’s lead single, “Spread Love”. Produced by Sango, “Spread Love” adheres to Jenkins’ constant message of pushing for better through God’s eyes. Jenkins’ main vessel has been water, the natural washing and cleansing of the body through purification. It’s how his first two projects got us to this exact moment. According to Jenkins, The Healing Component is “a reference to love being the quintessential healing component and love being able to heal all.”
