Migos joins Rae Sremmurd for the “Look Alive (Remix)” off SremmLife 2

Rae Sremmurd’s sophomore album SremmLife 2 is set to be released next month. Their “Look Alive” single has already garnered plenty of attention and now there’s a remix. It features Atlanta’s Migos and you can stream the Mike WiLL Made It produced single below. Purchase it on iTunes.

Each of the three Migos rappers from Quavo, Takeoff & Offset add new verses while Slim Jxmmi drops a new verse as well. Many have speculated that the push back for SremmLife 2 can be attributed to the laid back nature of “Look Alive”. The group’s debut single, “No Flex Zone” and follow up “No Type” were perfect club records. The original SremmLife kept the energy up throughout. Fans may be looking for Swae Lee & Slim Jxmmi to do more of the same.

2016 has given us access into the world of Rae Sremmurd, however. Swae Lee is credited as a writer on Beyoncé’s “Formation” and they told The FADER that their songs are freestyled.

The boys get a beat, and they record multiple freestyles over it. Later, often in collaboration with producers from the Eardrummers team, they’ll pick their freestyles apart and put the best of them back together, over high-definition beats.
