Stream “Paid” from Pusha T & Jeremih, plus the soundtrack to the Nas’ backed indie film, The Land

The Land, an independent film directed by Steven Caple Jr. and executive produced by Nas saw its soundtrack premiered on NPR. One of those records, “Paid” from G.O.O.D Music rapper Pusha T & Def Jam singer Jeremih became an official single today and you can stream it below.

“Paid” follows the release of “The Bitter Land”, a track from Nas & Erykah Badu who also has a starring role in the film. Michael K. Williams & Machine Gun Kelly also co-star.

The Land, an independent film by first-time director Steven Caple Jr., follows four Cleveland inner-city teen friends – Cisco (Jorge Lendeborg Jr.), Junior (Moises Arias), Boobie (Ezri Walker), and Patty Cake (Rafi Gavron) – determined to turn their passion for skateboarding into their No. 1 priority.

The Land soundtrack is a far heavier, major load. Kanye West, Badu, French Montana, Alina Baraz & Galimatias, Dave East & Nosaj Thing all play a role on the OST. NPR contributor Erika Ramirez wrote of the soundtrack’s drawing power, “The Land is a rare accomplishment: a soundtrack that brings the story of its film to life, and creates one of its own at the same time. It’s an experience full of rich, raw stories about fighting to strive, and using one’s environment as an influence, not a distraction.”
