After he announced his Major Keys album earlier this year, DJ Khaled promised a Jay Z & Future collaboration in “I Got The Keys”. Most of the news from the single immediately went to the massive production for the video where Jay, Future and literally anyone else found their way to stand in Los Angeles to prove a point. “A male formation,” one could easily joke.

Premiering on Apple Music with the video premiering on Tidal, “I Got The Keys” was produced 808 Mafia’s Southside (with additional production from Jake One and G-Koop). “Real life, I’m life goals,” Hov raps on the track’s second verse, obviously in his bag when it comes to talking big shit on records. Future’s limited here to chorus duty here but it doesn’t matter. You kind of expected it here.

The video itself sports a slick black & white look with Jay Z looking far more like a political prisoner than hip-hop’s most noted businessman. Khaled, Future and a ton of other people such as 2 Chainz, Fabolous, T.I, Rick Ross, Swizz Beatz, Pusha T, Bryson Tiller, Mavado and more are stationed outside the jail, waiting for Hov’s release.

Stream “I Got The Keys” from DJ Khaled, Future & Jay Z below. Major Key, Khaled’s latest album including the Too Short & Akineyle sampled “For Free” with Drake arrives July 29th.
