Houston already has a fare share of festivals from Free Press Summerfest (now helmed by Live Nation) to Day For Night, FreshDark, etc. Now Outta This World has arrived and it’s banking on a reasonable lineup to drum up over 15,000 people to attend.

Fetty Wap, T.I., Rick Ross & Young Thug are amongst the big names slated to perform at the first ever Outta This World concert in Houston this August. Other names such as Ty Dolla $ign, Metro Boomin and UGK’s own Bun B are also going to be in attendance. UIG Entertainment and John Monopoly are putting on the event which will take place August 18 at Toyota Center.

“Houston is at the forefront of art and culture,” the 30-year veteran and Trill OG stated in a press release. “[The] time for a festival that reflects that.”

The festival lineup brings some of hip-hop’s biggest and emerging names together for one night. Young Thug will be nearing the release of his debut album and played Houston earlier in the year. Fetty Wap had a near sold out show at House of Blues in February and Rick Ross constantly brings in a crowd when he shows up. Same goes for T.I. and Bun. Metro Boomin’s star has skyrocketed after he executive produced Drake & Future’s What A Time To Be Alive and produced a wide range of Future’s 2015 hits and more. Ty Dolla $ign recently was part of Wiz Khalifa’s Under The Influence of Music Tour when it stopped in Houston two summers ago as well as promoted his Free TC debut album in the city heavily.

Outta This World is looking to become the largest independent hip-hop festival in the city of Houston. For more information as well as tickets, visit their official site: ExperienceUIG.com
