Rascal F. Kennedy - Audio Dope Dealers

The Kool Kid is back at it again: Rascal F. Kennedy and Luos channel Jay-Z and Pusha T on a new track, “Audio Dope Dealers.”

Pusha T and Jay-Z’s “Drug Dealers Anonymous” track has already found its way into many a summer rotation. A hard track like that, with a smooth instrumental like that, is bound to inspire many an artist to step up their game.

Pusha Ton and Hov’s bug apparently bit Rascal F. Kennedy, as the Houston emcee flipped the beat and joined forces with Luos to drop off his own take on “Anonymous,” cleverly entitled “Audio Dope Dealers.”

DJ Random Hero – yes, the same DJ Random Hero responsible for providing sounds on Rascal’s recent Diary of A Kool Kid tape – handles mixing duties for the three-and-a-half minute track. Kennedy bats lead off while the “ill-minded” emcee Luos follows his lead (hopping on the beat with the dexterity and intensity of a “hot tag” in wrestling, and only pausing briefly mid-verse to slyly ask, “ya dig?”); the emcees are in perfect sync, pushing their product that’s more musically inclined than it is illegally-minded. We’re used to hearing Rascal brag in raps; and while that’s here, too (the Kool Kid distorts his voice on the hook to insist “None of these n*ggas realer!”), it’s the vivid storytelling Kennedy employs, that gives “Audio Dope Dealers” its true replay value.
