Since last November’s college basketball season tipped off, Ben Simmons was projected to be the No. 1 pick in the upcoming NBA Draft. Now with the league’s new year technically kicking off on Thursday, Simmons’ has been heavily featured in ads for ESPN and now Foot Locker. There’s one where he’s getting advice from 2015-16 Rookie of the Year Karl-Anthony Towns (or a paper mache version of Towns) but the best one involves KAT, Phoenix Suns forward Devin Booker and Los Angeles Lakers guard D’Angelo Russell.

Towns & Booker offer proper advice for Simmons as he makes his adjustment from LSU to presumably Philadelphia. Both Booker & Towns relay cliche talking points of hard work and dedication to the craft. Russell? He just grabs Simmons’ phone and tosses it out the window. “Trust me,” he says with perfect deadpan. It’s a clear reference to Russell’s scandal in which he videotaped teammate Nick Young discussing girls they’ve met in the club and women Nick’s slept with — while still engaged to Iggy Azalea.

Simmons recently inked a deal with Nike. Now here’s hoping he gets his actual wish of going to Los Angeles and Duke forward Brandon Ingram instead goes to Philly with the No. 1 pick.
