Rae Sremmurd rides the high in the music video for “Look Alive.”

The stakes are pretty high for Rae Sremmurd. Brothers Swae Lee and Slimm Jimi shook up the world in more ways than one with their 2015 run, unleashing hit single after hit single that culminated in their debut album, SremmLife, being a pretty solid effort. As the flagship artists of producer MikeWiLLMadeIt’s EarDrumma Records, they’ve got a following and a sound in demand. All Rae Sremmurd have to do is avoid hitting the sophomore slump with their upcoming follow-up LP, SremmLife 2.

“Look Alive,” the LP’s lead single, is certainly a fun start. Bearing a toned-down MikeWiLL instrumental backed by the duo’s typical high-energy delivery, “Look Alive” has already benefited from radio play and a few good live performances. Now, Swae Lee and Slimm Jimi have given the track a music video to match.

Directed by Max is behind the lens for “Look Alive’s” visuals, which has the duo bouncing around in shadows and low lights as the life of the party. Swae Lee even takes over an arcade with some of his girlfriends before returning to the party, but “Look Alive” has one mission and one mission only – to possess you with its beat and get you to nod your head with nary a care in the world.

Watch the video for Rae Sremmurd’s “Look Alive” up top. The duo’s SremmLife 2 album, on which “Look Alive” appears, is due out June 24th and can be pre-ordered now on iTunes.
