Rain or shine, Hot 97’s Summer Jam is a go.

Summer Jam, Hot 97’s annual hip-hop festival that has now become hip-hop’s biggest concert every year experienced the same type of drama that hit Houston’s Free Press Summerfest. Severe storms forced things to shift and in some cases get cancelled period. Bad weather in NYC has already wrecked the third day of Governor’s Ball and for the most part, it hampered the 2016 Summer Jam at MetLife Stadium. The festival lineup, which included Desiigner, Chance The Rapper, Curren$y and others was scrapped. “Further delays are possible,” festival organizers posted in a lengthy message on Instagram. Many of the artists set to perform on the festival stage outside like Chance The Rapper were just as shocked as fans were.

Despite the issues, Hot 97’s biggest event of the year is still a go. Slated to hit the Stadium Stage are Future, Big Sean, Pusha T and G.O.O.D. Music, A$AP Rocky, A$AP Ferg, Young Thug, Bryson Tiller, Fat Joe, Remy Ma, Tinashe, Kid Ink, DJ Khaled & friends and more. Let’s be honest, everyone will be looking forward to the surprises and according to those in the know, Drake, Kanye West & Jay Z will be performing at Summer Jam this year.
