Ten days from now, Robert Glasper will release Everything’s Beautiful, his collection of re-imagined tracks merging his modern sounds with those of the belated jazz legend Miles Davis. Everything’s Beautiful has quietly become one of the more anticipated albums of 2016, due to its two lead singles: the Phonte and BeMyFiasco-assisted “Violets”; and the irresistibly catchy “I’m Leaving You” with Ledisi and John Scofield.

Glasper apparently felt the time was right to drop off one more leak from the LP, and he took to the internets today to reveal a new song, “Maiysha (So Long),” featuring none other than Erykah Badu.

“Maiysha” has a seven-and-a-half minute runtime, but you’d never notice because it moves along so smoothly. Glasper’s instrumental merges jazz with island grooves, marrying trumpet with piano/keyboard and guitar; it’s finger-snapping and almost sensual in spite of the song’s tragic content. Badu’s voice is soul-stirring, as she shares the story of a woman who decides to leave her lover, yet leaves the possibility that she can be “called back.” Glasper
