We now need the WWE to bubble wrap all of its superstars until WrestleMania. Just last night on RAW, two freak injuries (one involving a ref!) occurred and the company continues to add to its list of already hurt wrestlers. For a recap, here’s who won’t be at WrestleMania this year: Seth Rollins, John Cena, Randy Orton, Cesaro, Nikki Bella, Sting, Hideo Itami, Tyson Kidd and Daniel Bryan though Daniel Bryan went through two years of hell before he had to act like Kenny at the end of South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut saying goodbye.

Now we have to add Neville (the former Adrian Neville) to the list. How did Neville end up on the dreaded IR list? Well, by the most insane of reasons — a baseball slide. During his match with Chris Jericho on RAW last night, Neville attempted a baseball slide to avoid a charging Jericho and his leg got caught underneath him. You can see the video below.

The word from the WWE? Sadness.

“Neville sustained a left ankle injury on a baseball slide during his match with Chris Jericho,” Dr. Chris Amann told “Initial X-rays reveal a fracture of the ankle. He will undergo further imaging today to determine the extent of the fracture and to determine if surgery will be necessary.”

Neville’s reaction to the news is particularly heartbreaking. A year after being named Breakout Superstar of the Year as well as wowing fans with his aerial abilities, Neville now may have to miss weeks of action while his ankle heals up. Prayers to him and let’s hope for a speedy recovery.
