Marvel’s ‘Luke Cage’ To Debut On Netflix In September [#lukecage #marvel] Brandon Caldwell March 11, 2016 Comics, News, TV/Movies With Marvel’s Daredevil set to return to Netflix next Friday, someone else who resides in Hell’s Kitchen revealed when he’d be making his debut. During a screening of the season two premiere of Daredevil, Mike Colter, who played Luke Cage in Marvel’s Jessica Jones adaptation revealed that his own Netflix show would premiere September 30th. And much like Jessica Jones & Daredevil, Colter promised that Luke Cage would be action-packed from the very beginning. Fast forward to the 2:09 mark for Colter’s words about Luke Cage: Luke Cage is the third series Netflix has released from the Marvel Defenders series after Daredevil and Jessica Jones. The fourth, Iron Fist will see his Marvel series debut sometime in 2017. The cast for Luke Cage includes Colter in the title role, Mahershala Ali as Cornell “Cottonmouth” Stokes, Simone Missick as a variant of Misty Knight, Alfre Woodard as Mariah Dillard, a Harlem politician & cousin to Cottonmouth, Theo Rossi as Shades and Rosario Dawson reprising her role as Claire Temple from Daredevil and a few episodes from Jessica Jones.
