Rihanna - WORK f. Drake

You’ve got to give Rihanna credit.

Her much-awaited ANTI album hasn’t had much promo, but the little it has gotten, has kept fans hooked and clambering for more. The album, thus far, has only had Samsung commercials (by way of the unveiling of “Rooms”), three singles (“American Oxygen,” “FourFiveSeconds”, and “BBHMM”), and an official tour starting next month; and yet that has been enough to keep ANTI and thusly Rihanna herself continually in the conversation.

This morning, however, Rihanna unveiled what she’s calling ANTI’s OFFICIAL “first single,” a collaboration with October’s Very Own himself, Drake. The single reunites the two for the first time since 2012, when they collaborated on the the title track duet off Drake’s album Take Care.

Premiered on TIDAL at the top of the morning, “Work” floats along on hypnotic, island-riddim-meets-dance-club instrumentation, with Robyn and Aubrey trading verses. The smooth cut should pick up right where “BBHMM” left off in terms of keeping Rihanna’s radio play alive.
