Watch out, there’s a new app in town.

Though platforms like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram still stand tall as industry leaders; others like Snapchat and Periscope are proving that there’s always room for a worthy competitor. Enter Dynamite, a new application determined to find it’s own footing in the Social Media industry by providing a twist on the typical sharing experience.

The premise is simple: 42 second videos that can be edited together as you please. The twist? A series of “masks” that allow users to transform into virtually anyone they please, from activists like Martin Luther King Jr. to even Donald Trump. (This mask is particularly entertaining I must admit.) The masks themselves serve as an added bonus, allowing users to use their imagination to create skits, segments and more. Those that are quick with memes should be especially pleased.

According to developers, “Dynamite! lets you create 42 second videos edited together from segments you record. Each segment can have a different video face mask and/or audio filter. So be yourself, or wear a mask, it’s a totally new way to create personal videos and share them with your friends, or the world. Telling your story is more fun, and more engaging than ever before.”

They add, “Be fearless. Share everything. Short videos. Personal stories. No fear — with hundreds of masks and filters!”

As the new kid on the block it remains to be seen whether it will take sail or not, but for now those behind the brand are showing no signs of slowing down. Those looking for variety will enjoy the constant updates, as everyone from Kim Kardashian to sister Kylie Jenner becomes available via a new mask.

Hit or miss? Check it out here and let us know what you think.

OMG — funny app!! I recorded a video of Trump in his stupid red hat trash talking bout Latinos and sent it to my br inlaw from Guatemala. He was so pissed and we laughed so hard. One thing tho — the app is really, really confusing and hard to use. It’s got a million buttons and who knows what they do. Far as I can tell they dont to anything.
Get this app — just ignore all of them stupid buttons and press the purple video camera button to recprd
