For all the hubub we’ve had over the past six months with Drake vs. Meek Mill, there’s two more Drake related “feuds” fans actually want to see. One is with Pusha T as Pusha T’s been baiting him forever with subliminal shots about Cash Money and everything else. The other? Kendrick Lamar. Ever since 2013’s “Control” verse, Drake’s thrown plenty of subliminal and outright disses at the Compton emcee and Lamar’s responded in kind with some subliminal volleys of his own. It’s easily the best barbershop talk you can have about music right now and it even has the attention of the greatest authority figure in the world, President Barack Obama.

How does President Obama view a Drake versus Kendrick battle? Easy. He’s siding with Kendrick every single time out.

This shouldn’t come as a shock as Lamar has not only been to the White House, he also holds the distinction of having recorded the President’s favorite album of 2015 and his favorite song, “How Much A Dollar Cost”. All of this is something that you’d never expect a sitting President to say, or any President for that matter. Which is probably why a part of me is going to miss Obama in the White House. Solely because I don’t think I’ll get Bernie Sanders’ thoughts on things unless they’re Killer Mike related.

The Drake/Kendrick question came as part of a recent YouTube Q&A as someone on Reddit pointed out. During a lightning round of pop-culture questions that needed answers, Obama was asked to choose between Drake & Kendrick in a hypothetical rap battle. His direct response, “You gotta go with Kendrick. I’m just saying. I think Drake is an outstanding entertainer, but Kendrick… his lyrics… His last album was outstanding. Best album I heard last year.”
