Before Freddie Gibbs is always in a giving mood, the Gary, IN to Los Angeles, Calif. rapper drops off two tracks for a Wednesday. “Hot Boys” takes the 808 assault from League of Starz’ Dupri for Freddie Kane to rap with a bit of a Spanish accent about cooking up and being a self-professed beast with the fork and the calculator.

“Dead Presidents” takes the piano melody from Lonnie Liston Smith’s “A Garden of Peace” and sees Freddie flip it around with a mix of singing and outright rapping. Sid “Speakerbomb” Miller applies a bit of torque to the original melody while Gibbs slithers around with a mix of double-time so polished and manicured that you know well enough not to even attempt to imitate it. “Just caught El Chapo, cause he was tryna get on camera chasin’ the fame n*gga / He probably gonna break out in a couple of days, n*gga / And if he do, hit me up I’m tryna get paid with ya…” Stream “Hot Boys” and “Dead Presidents” from Gangsta Gibbs below.
