Kendrick Lamar Delivers Again With Debut ‘Austin City Limits’ Performance Brandon Caldwell January 10, 2016 Live Performances, Music, TV/Movies 1 Comment Much like fellow Grammy AOTY nominee Alabama Shakes performance to kick off Austin City Limits‘ newest season, Kendrick Lamar continued his recent string of amazing TV performances with an Austin City Limits set of his own. Mixing in tracks from both good kid, m.A.A.d city and To Pimp A Butterfly, Lamar and his Wesley’s Theory band ran through most of the tracks that became synonymous with 2015 as a whole. If you weren’t amongst those able to catch Cornrow Kenny during his Kunta’s Groove mini-tour last fall, this is your best bet and guess what? It’s absolutely free. There’s a bit of irony in Lamar’s performance airing the same day as J.Cole’s Forest Hills Drive: Homecoming. Maybe its a ploy to remind people of that joint project the two are either working on or fans are so fiendishly craving that there’s a new fan cover made every day.
