Janet Jackson Reportedly Being Tested For Throat Cancer Brandon Caldwell January 5, 2016 Music, News Weeks after she announced that her Unbreakable World Tour, Janet Jackson is in the news again, this time for possibly far more serious reasons. After fans feared that the iconic singer and entertainer would have to undergo surgery, Radar Online reported that Janet was undergoing treatment for her vocal chords. Doctors found a growth on Janet’s vocal chords and then begun additional testing, this time for throat cancer. A source close to the situation reported that, “doctors found a growth on Janet’s vocal chords that could be serious. It’s a medical condition that has to be taken care of immediately.” Janet’s Unbreakable tour was announced along with her latest album of the same name. The tour kicked off in August just as the album took the top slot on the Billboard 200. However, she announced in Octobee that two dates had to be rescheduled to rest her vocal chords.
