Recently director Quentin Tarantino’s 8th film The Hateful Eight was released in theaters. With the buzz around the film dozens of question have been asked in regards to what Tarantino’s next film will be. Recently it was revealed that The Hateful Eight was made in substitution for the sequel to Django Unchained. Now if you are a fan of Tarantino then you know that the director has yet to make a sequel to any of his films even if some of the films are tied into one another. So now the question that is floating around in regards to Tarantino’s 9th film is one that has lingered for years now, will we get a Kill Bill Vol. 3?

Tarantino recently sat down for an interview and had this to say on the matter:

I’ve been very non-committal about it, and I’m not committing to it, but I wouldn’t be surprised if The Bride made one more appearance before the whole thing is said and done. I’ve been talking to Uma about it just a little bit. Some of the stuff that I’ve written and never made it into the movie that maybe I could use and thinking, ‘OK, now, thirteen years later, what would be going on with Sofie Fatale, what would be going on with Elle Driver?’

It’s not as if we haven’t heard this from Tarantino before. The director is best known for swapping around piece and scenes before the final picture is complete. But from his recent interview, it appears that the original concept for Vol.3 may be altered.

Originally the next chapter in the series was to focus on the revenge against The Bride by Vernita Green’s daughter. With it being Thirteen years since the last film, more than enough time has passed for the original daughter to play this role. In any aspect I’m sure Kill Bill fans are not sulking if this is not the story to be followed, rather we are just hoping that talks will continue to create to essential steps to get this film going.

So long as the man is working actively and keeping himself a couple steps ahead of retirement, we frankly don’t care what he puts out. In the meantime, don’t forget to check out The Hateful Eight, which is currently in theaters.
