Originally available on Tidal for a week, Pusha T’s Darkest Before Dawn short film is now available for free via VEVO. The 22-minute clip basically puts us in the middle of a Pusha T song, only with far graver consequences. Pusha and R&B singer Rotimi of Power fame star as the two lead characters, both of whom are knee deep in selling drugs and trying to keep making money while avoiding the worst. With a story involving the Feds, the plug, cocaine, death and a little backstabbing. Kid Art’s direction here is rather slick as what would normally be a short and sweet King Push video is stretched out and given far more exposition. You can watch the Darkest Before Dawn short film in full below and if you haven’t already, stream the rather excellent audio accompaniment now before purchasing it on iTunes.
