The most viral thing to come out of Dallas in 2015 belonged to ThatKidCam. A few weeks ago before the release of But You Caint Use My Phone, Erykah Badu spun at The Bomb Factory in support of her former beau, The D.O.C. Backstage at the event, ThatKidCam spit an impromptu verse for the Queen of Dallas R&B and it took off. Call it a 2ndFirstImpression if you will but it was then ThatKidCam made a large dent on he conscious of Dallas hip-hop, at least for a moment anyway.

“Normal Person”, as bout an oxymoron a title as you can find from ThatKidCam but he talks to the heavens about his current mind state. “If I were a normal person, I would be just like you,” he sings on the opening lines amongst a steady stream of hand claps, drums, isolated snares and a steady bassline. He breaks into a voice modified verse mid-way through “Normal Person” and then the song takes on an additional high from singer Kierra Gray, affirming, “there’s nothing wrong with being yourself.”
