Leon Bridges is no stranger to letting his country boy roots shine on a big stage. The Fort Worth singer touched another major stage on Saturday night, bringing “Smooth Sailin'” and “River” from his excellent Coming Home album for his first ‘Saturday Night Live’ appearance. Clad in a dapper brown suit & tie like always and plenty of good time cheer, the 26-year-old Bridges twisted and grooved with “Smooth Sailin'” before climbing letting a piano and some background singers be his only accompaniment for the gospel-tinged “River”.

Watch both Leon Bridges performances below. Saturday Night Live will continue to bring solid musical guests to close out the year with Chance The Rapper hitting Studio 8H on December 12th and Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band coming on December 19th.
